Advanced EUS Procedure Spares Patient from Major Surgery at the International Hospital

A patient suffering from acute pancreatitis developed a large fluid-filled cyst that placed severe pressure on her stomach—a condition that typically requires open surgery.

Instead, the medical team at International Hospital successfully treated the case using endoscopic ultrasound (EUS). With exceptional precision, the pancreatic cyst was accessed and drained endoscopically, avoiding surgery altogether and without any complications. This highly specialized intervention is considered rare in Libya due to the advanced technology and expert skill it demands.

The procedure was performed under the supervision and execution of:
🌟 Dr. Mohamed Sultan – Consultant Gastroenterologist and Endoscopist

We thank God for the patient’s recovery and extend our sincere appreciation to the entire medical team for their dedication, expertise, and outstanding professionalism.
